Photo A Day {FAIL}

Ok, so I totally failed at the photo a day challenge I started at the beginning of February. I realised that some days I didn't want to show you the contents of my fridge, and on the day the prompt was "walking" I don't think I walked anywhere! I decided it's not much fun to orchestrate a situation just to take a photo, and I want to show you what I have really been up to!

This week, my little sister is home from uni - so the inevitable shopping trip for baking supplies took place yesterday. Some clever person (not me for a change) managed to forget their prescription sunglasses, so resorted to driving with my normal ones on...and her actual glasses....

Bloody loon.

There has also been a HUGE revelation in out house. She likes fruit. Now, this sounds trivial I know, but she is 21 this year, and has never, ever, ever, eaten fruit. Even as a baby. She always says the texture is weird, or it's too fuzzy or seedy or crispy or slimy...but on Sunday while I was making dessert, she just came along and pinched a raspberry and loved it! So now we keep feeding her everything, so far, raspberries, blueberries, peaches, apples and grapes have passed the test - I can't wait for her to eat the first good strawberries of the summer too!

So with that in mind, our baking was distinctly fruit based.

She's also on a bit of a trying to eat healthily type thing, so these were vaguely good for you. The brownies, having beetroot in them, have no butter (which of course makes them dairy free too) and the muffins are made with spelt flour and agave syrup, much better than white flour and sugar!

She's pretty chuffed with her muffins!

And the brownies didn't last long either (especially when the boy got home)

In other news, we are going to look at houses today! It's exiting that one of them could become our very own - I'm excited and panicky and am a bit scared the estate agent will laugh at me because I still feel about 12 and not old enough to buy a house at all!

I will let you know how it goes x
