A Gift Most Sublime

Good evening, this will only be a quick one, I may get round to a longer post about Christmas sooner or later, but I just wanted to share one of my favourite little gifts with you all.

{Please be assured this is not a sponsored post, and the gift was bought for me by my fiancé with pennies of his very own - I never do product reviews, in fact this will be the very first, I just really like it and want to tell you all!}

I am quite clearly officially old, as I am about to tell you about one of my favourite presents and it is not a bike, or a games console, or even clothes or jewellery. Nope...I want to tell you about hand cream.

This lovely silver tube contains, I believe, the best hand cream on the planet, L'Occitane's 20% Shea Butter hand Cream for dry skin. Everything about it from the packaging to the scent is sublime (I like that word, particularly good for describing cream I feel!)

The silver metal tube feels old fashioned and utterly practical, as does the simply designed label. The cream is really thick, you really have to squeeze it to get any out, but it soaks in really quickly and doesn't feel slippery or sticky. You don't need much either...this much easily did both my (fairly dry) hands:

The smell is quite flowery, but not overpowering. It really reminds me of Coty L'aimant, the perfume and talc my Nanny uses that comes in those 30's style pink plastic bottles.

L'Occitane has a whole shea butter range that I'm quite excited to try now, particularly the shampoo and conditioner, I don't know if you'e noticed but I have A LOT of hair, so a good conditioner is pretty important!

I hope you all had the most wonderful Christmas and are looking forward to a new year knees up tomorrow night, we are doing a little but of sale shopping then having a quite(ish) night in...ever the old woman that I am!
