Coldham Hall Family Festival

Morning everyone. As I sit watching the Diamond Jubilee Service of Thanksgiving, and feeling incredibly proud to be British, I thought I would share some photos of my first ever craft stall at Coldham Hall in Surlingham, Norfolk. I was really looking forward to it, as you can read here, and even though I only sold two things, I had a really nice day, the weather was sunny, the pub (which by the way is owned by my sister's boyfriend's family) is beautiful and right on the Norfolk Broads, and I met a few other local crafters, including Lou and Will from Farrell & Holmes, who make and up cycle gorgeous jewellery and home decor delights. After talking to one of the event organisers, I am now planning to do another, more high profile fair on July 8th, so stay tuned!

I thought I would share some photos with you...I spent a lot of the day pretending to be the Queen in a ridiculous cardboard crown...

Here is my little sister selling chutney made by her boyfriend, a chef at Coldham....

...and here is me with, as ever, daft trousers and a cup of tea!

Hopefully I will be getting my etsy shop up and running properly in the next few days, so if anything takes your fancy, you will be able to purchase it from there very soon.

Much love everyone xxx

  1. It all looks really lovely. I tried to post a comment in reply to your previous blog but my computer was being tempermental then. I basically said that your idea for a craft shop sounds great and that even if you didn't do well at a craft fair you should definitely go for it. Life is too short for regrets.

    1. Thank you so much Michelle, that means a lot. I would really love to just go for it...just don't know if I'm brave enough yet! I'm getting there though, and comments like yours are pushing me on! xxx
