Time For a Bit of Colouring

Good evening everyone!

I wanted to share a little experiment with you all. It went quite well, but it definitely needs a bit of fine-tuning! Presenting (terrible photographs of)....

Rainbow Crayons!

1. Chop up wax crayons

2.Fill up the holes of a silicon ice cube (or in this case ice butterfly) tray

3. Put in the oven (as low as it will go) for about 10 minutes or until the crayons have melted, then remove, leave them to harden, pop them out, and colour with rainbows to your heart's content!

I think they came out ok, but I think having only a couple of colours in each one, and bigger chunks of each colour would make them more successful, so stay tuned for more experiments!

My Mum was staying with us, so we've been busy shopping and walking and generally not doing much. Is it possible to be busy not doing much? Either way, she also taught me how to increase and decrease knitting stitches, so hopefully I can knit things that are a bit more adventurous than scarfs in future!

What have you been up to this week? I hope it's been a good one for you all.

Much love xxx
