Daisy Chain Dreaming

I've been seeing a lot of daisy chain headbands in shops recently, and I really like them but they're always so expensive, I saw one in Topshop this week that was £15!

So I decided to make my own. I found these little packets of wired fabric and paper flowers in The Works for £1.

As they were 3 for the price of 2, I bought some pink rose-like ones, some yellow daisies and some little white blossoms, and started to fashion them into a headband.

The wire makes it really easy, just twist the stems together, adding a new flower just after the previous one so the wire base never gets too thin.

When the length is big enough to fit your head (my head is huge, so you might not need three packets!) twist the ends together, then start adding the spare flowers into any gaps, or any places where the wire base feels fragile.

And there you have it, not quite a daisy chain, but I'm really pleased with it, and it was only £2!

Ta-da! I think they'd be really pretty for little bridesmaids, and while not quite as pretty as real flowers, they won't die after the big day!

Hope you like it!

  1. How cute! Love this idea! :)

  2. Thank you so much! I just need a nice sunny day to wear it now! xxx
